5 stars for what it is, it's a 5 star corner store sandwich spot. What makes a 5 star corner store sandwich spot?
First the sandwiches: great bread toasted perfectly, shredded lettuce (no leaf bs), crunchy crispy pickles (not soggy), meat meat meat, the meat they use is top notch, thin slices stacked high. I don't need to post any pictures. They looked just like everyone else's. Consistency is key!
Environment: 5 star corner store sandwich spot, everyone's happy to be there, happy to be making sandwiches, good vibes, jokes, little light weight sh*t talking. Everyone that walked in knew the workers. Great neighborhood spot. Can't wait to go back. -

You can keep your bougie-downtown sandwiches for $14 that, let's be honest are really nothing special. A no frills place, here you will find THE BEST sandwiches on the cheap. Friendly and quick service, you order, pay, then pick up. They offer such a wide variety of chips, including my fave- zapp's!
Even if you're paralyzed by decision making, you can't go wrong by choosing one of their signature sammies. But here's a help-less little guide from moi:
Three bread choices, the sourdough is a must with it's crispy crust. To Toast or not to toast? Definitely toasted. Just imagine your provolone all melty over your turkey and pastrami! Spreads? Sauces? Get ANY, but on the side. Skip the mustard and mayo for sure- you won't be sorry when you dip your sandwich into their special sauce and sprinkle every bite with tabasco!
This sandwich should definitely be part of your life. It's love, it's lust, it's regret, and shame, all wrapped up with in unbelievable flavor that you will NOT want to share... and gluttony... and self care.... all of that. Just walk it off. You'll be fine, honee. -

I love this place for sandwiches! I'm vegan and get the veggie: Lettuce, tomato, red onion, cucumber, pickles, jalapeños, a generous helping of avocado...and cheese if your heart desires, on a large sandwich hoagie. They have falafel sandwiches and hummus available, too, for us vegan folk. :)
Today, I got one giant sandwich, a bag of chips, a coffee, and two lotto tickets for $10.79 after tax. This place is the jam!
They are super nice here and it is always a pleasure to stop in! -

Take the extra time to go to Roxie's. I walk in and nobody else but me there to order. This should've been a sign from the jump. I proceed to order a turkey sando to see how they throw down. Easy. I wait, and guy making my sandwich is talking to somebody not eating or ordering. This already is the first sign I'd prob go somewhere else next time. Get the sandwich and it's a nice size fatty. Cool. Then halfway through I realize the guy burned the bread top and bottom. TOP ANDDDDD BOTTOM.
Yooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It wasn't like he was busy making two to three other jawns. He had one job and failed. Dude, burned it. Knew it and was prob like he won't know till later. The decent thing to do would've been to remake it and be like my bad. This just ruined the sandwich as a whole.
Roxie's has a line like DMV on a Friday. They haven't ever burned my sandwich once in the trillion times I've been there. -

If you're in the neighborhood and craving a sandwich, look no further!
This place uses quality meats and the famous Dutch Crunch bread. They pile it high with toppings and you can get your sandwich toasted or cold. I've tried the The Club (ham, turkey, bacon) and the Nuclear (hot pastrami, corned beef, turkey, and jalapenos). Cheese is an additional 50 cents.
I also ordered a side of their Mac salad as well and it's so yummy. It has the right combo of sauce to pasta and it didn't have that aftertaste that some salads do.
Highly recommend stopping by!
